An earlier Roy Kuhlman design. Damn. He needs his own category on this site…

An early one by our pal Roy Kuhlman.

Don’t love the type, but the graphic is cool—especially blind-stamped on the casewrap.
Nice handdrawn Ben Shahn-style type. No design credit, but it’s Grove Press, so it could be our man Roy Kuhmlann.

Another abstract horse. This one by George Giusti.

Cover design by Seymour Chwast. I’m not sure when this was done. The latest date (Foreword, etc.) I can find is 1959.
I really like the type on the spine.
Nice and simple. This is the seventh printing (1979) but I assume this design by Brian Denyer was actually done in 1968 when this edition first came out.
From either 1964 or 1969.
Amazing geometric illustration. And another super-simple back. (Love the Bard logo, too.)
