The London SFBC’s covers before 1967 were quite awful. (I think so at least…) Then with a designer called Terry James they became mesmerizing (http://pedromarquesdg.wordpress.com/2009/10/15/quem-foie-terry-james/). Not for long: after 1971 the quality plummeted again.
