Of course I love me some overprinting shapes, but what I really admire about this is the gutsy decision to force the = in there as the Q, even though it really doesn’t work. That said, it does still read.

A little light reading. Published in 1958, but not sure when this cover (for the 5th printing) was designed. But it did say it was by John+Mary Condon.

Oh man. I love this one. So simple. So nice. 1969, going by a handwritten note inside the cover.
Interestingly, this is the second in a row that was designed by an apparent husband and wife team: “Donald + Ann Crews.”
